American vs Mediterranean

The Tallgrass hotdogs were very good. Much healthier but still so much flavor. I will definitely get them again. They are about $5 for 6 big hot dogs on Peapod.com. Rather pricey but I'll still buy them.

We went out to eat on Friday and I ordered grilled shrimp tacos, which were great.

Saturday and today neither of us were feeling that great...some stomach issues and just overall exhausted. We decided we need a break from all the house projects. We are almost done with everything, just a small amount of little things for that finished look. I'm still putting the painted rooms back together...slowly.

We won't begin the kitchen project for at least another month. That will give us some time to pack up the kitchen, get rid of some things we don't want, order the cabinets, make sure they are in stock and then we'll be ready to go. The project will take about 6 weeks to finish with everything that we want to have done. We are going to take the cats over to Mom's house for the duration. It's just too much demo work, banging and sawing, etc. They have gone through enough these past 4 months already. "Grandcatmom" is thrilled to have her little grandkitties with her full time.

Getting back to food, over these past 2 weeks we have been eating more American foods and neither of us have been feeling that great. It just goes to show that the American diet is just not healthy. Our bodies don't even want it anymore. It was an interesting test to go back and see if we were missing anything. I surely am not. Maybe Aaron a little bit - he loves ribs and french fries! My body just can't take all those carbs and fat anymore. It wipes me out.

So tonight, Aaron had fish tacos for dinner, Mom had a grilled shrimp and spinach salad and I had a tuna melt. Back to Mediterranean...Ahhhh!
