Blood Test Results

My blood tests came back showing iron deficiency anemia. My hemoglobin is 10.5. Hmmm, that would explain my tiredness and dizziness. Dr. Clark has put me on a multivitamin plus iron.

I also have to concentrate on eating food rich in iron...liver, beans, seafood, red meat, broccoli, nuts and dried fruits (raisins, prunes, dates, apricots). I also found out that the red wine that I'm leaning toward is an iron absorption inhibitor, but white wine is not. So for now, I will be eating an iron-rich diet and switching to white wine to wash it down.

Gosh, I hope I start feeling better soon. I am so tired and I work all day, then come home and work in the house getting it ready for our kitchen remodeling. I must take a beauty-sleep break.
